This 20th Century's Troubled Climate

I read this quote in an interview the other day: "I do record a lot, but I think it's pretentious to assume that anyone would want to hear it all". If only I were so discerning.

On the 8th April 2005 I decided to write and record as many songs as I could in a day. A day being, in this case, 10 hours; 8am - 6pm to be precise. This collection of songs is the result of that day's work ("work!?" I hear you cry). Well, if I'm being honest there was a heckuva lot of editing & overdubbing done later on but the vast majority of the parts were done in one day. There will be either 4 or 5 songs released as part of this collection - I haven't quite decided yet, and they'll be released one at a time over the next few months. You can also hear them on the Calamateur MySpace page.

Now you may be thinking, "Wow, I certainly am impressed at this guy's creative genius" or you may be saying to yourself, "'What a self indulgent loser", but I'm guessing (and hoping) that the songs will at least be a little bit closer to the former of those two camps - I'm sure you'll have your own opinion. Please feel free to let me know by dropping me an email.
